bobbin lacebobbin laceOur wedding anniversary was last week.  We spent a lovely day at Old Man's Cave in Hocking Hills, Ohio.  I also received a beautiful gift of a bobbin lace kit from Anthony (along with an order for a bookmark for each of the books he is reading). Smile

When I opened it, we promptly made a last-minute run to the library to check out the Beginner's Guide to Bobbin Lace by Gilian Dye and Adrienne Thunder.  Over the last week, I have been working through the various bookmark patterns learning the basic stitches.  So far, I have completed 3 bookmarks.  It really is a great deal of fun and just as Laura Fry has said, it is like building the loom as you go and having the freedom to turn warp into weft and weft into warp.
